Dr. Dylan Eliassof

DVM
Dr. Eliassof knew from a very young age that the goal was a life working with animals. Studying biology and medicine turned that early instinct into a real passion, and losing a beloved childhood dog during his first year of college gave the goal its shape: helping families get more time, and better time, with the pets they love. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Long Island University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
Preventive care sits at the center of his practice. One of the most common misconceptions in veterinary medicine is that only sick pets need to be seen — in reality, annual and semi-annual wellness visits are among the best tools available for catching small or hidden problems before they become serious ones. Client education matters just as much to him. The more a family understands about the diagnostic plan, the goals of treatment, and how a disease actually behaves, the more confident everyone feels doing what’s best for the patient.
Clinical pathology is a particular interest — especially the detective work of finding a problem’s root cause under the microscope — alongside a growing focus on endocrine and internal medicine cases, and an appetite for more soft tissue surgery.
At home there’s Bean, a miniature chocolate labradoodle whose talents include sunbathing, bird watching, and thoroughly destroying her toys.
