Dr. Jonathan Goodwin

Dr. Jonathan Goodwin is a highly accomplished veterinary cardiologist. He began his academic journey at Cornell University, earning a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He then received his doctoral degree in veterinary medicine from Tuskegee University. In 2000, Dr. Goodwin completed an internship with an emphasis on internal medicine and cardiology at Coral Springs Animal Hospital. He further specialized by completing a cardiology residency at Purdue University, finishing in 2008.
Dr. Goodwin is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, specializing in Cardiology, and achieved his board certification in 2008. His extensive professional experience includes heading his own private specialty practice and working for large specialty practices. He has held various leadership positions, including serving as medical director and consultant to veterinary medical companies.
Raised in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Goodwin has a deep commitment to veterinary cardiology. He specializes in congenital cardiac disease (birth defects), pulmonary hypertension, feline myocardial disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and personalized management of congestive heart failure. Dr. Goodwin combines his vast knowledge and compassionate approach to ensure the highest standard of care for his patients.
Dr. Goodwin is available at Oath Animal Hospital by appointment only for cardiology consultations and diagnostic testing, including ECG and echocardiograms.
