Feeding Furry Friends: Oath Animal Hospital's Pet Food Drive in Collaboration with Long Island Cares
This December, Oath Animal Hospital is proud to join forces with Long Island Cares – The Harry Chapin Food Bank to make a meaningful impact on the lives of pets in need. Established in 1980, Long Island Cares has been a beacon of hope, addressing hunger on Long Island and promoting self-sufficiency through innovative and collaborative efforts.
Why a Pet Food Drive?
We recognize that our four-legged friends are an integral part of families, and ensuring their well-being is crucial. Many families face challenges in providing proper nutrition for their pets, especially during the holiday season. That’s why, throughout the month of December, Oath Animal Hospital is hosting a Pet Food Drive to collect essential pet food items for those in need.
About Long Island Cares:
In 2022 alone, Long Island Cares distributed a staggering 14 million pounds of food, equivalent to 11.5 million meals, through its extensive network of 374 community-based member agencies. The organization’s commitment to addressing hunger’s root causes and consequences aligns seamlessly with our mission at Oath Animal Hospital.
How Can You Contribute?
We invite our community to come together and make a difference by donating unopened bags or cans of pet food at Oath Animal Hospital. Your contributions will directly support Long Island Cares in their mission to improve food security for families and their beloved pets.
Your generosity will not only nourish the pets but also bring joy and relief to their families. Together, let’s make this holiday season brighter for every member of our community, furry or otherwise!
